It’s Time to Tell My Story….

1–2 minutes

In my 21st year of living with blood clots, I have decided to write my story. I will take to the keyboard to share my experience.

Over the years I have experienced more than what the average blood clotter or thrombosis patient has. I know the feeling of loneliness. The fear can linger long after the physical symptoms have died down.

I have never wanted anyone to go through what I have from my first DVT to my most recent discharge. I may not be able to change the world. However, I can be a friend, a voice, an ear, or an email to anyone suffering. I can also be a source of humour for those feeling alone.

So from a left leg DVT to Compartment Syndrome and Foot Drop with everything in between. How I’ve survived and continue to survive laughing and loving life with a severe blood clotting disorder.
